Diplômé de l’Institut d’Etude sur le développement économique et social, et issu de la formation photojournaliste de l'EMI-CFD, je suis photographe indépendant et travaille depuis 2008 pour le compte de collectivités territoriales, d'institutions culturelles, d'associations et pour la presse. Attaché à l’actualité locale et à ses problématiques, je collabore depuis son lancement en octobre 2010 au magazineLe 13 du Mois, premier média indépendant d’arrondissement. During his collaboration as head of photography department for various French publications (Le 13 du Mois, a local magazine portraying the 13th arrondissement of Paris, and Soixante-Quinze, a magazine about the hidden Paris) French photographer Mathieu Genon has set out to capture the faces and voices of locals topics. The resulting portraits and reportages, shot on the streets or studios, reveal the side of a daily dimension so often misrepresented and which faces the city life without any bias. Always looking for more ways to represent current social issues, Mathieu Genon's work navigates between social photojournalism and portraiture . He grew up in Angers but completed his photography studies in Paris. He is also a member of Hans Lucas Studio since september 2016.
